My big kid.

I registered my son for K-5 today! He’s attending a French Immersion elementary school starting half days in September, and will continue doing before and after school care at his current preschool/daycare while I’m at work from 8:30-4:30 every weekday. He’s SO excited that he gets to go to the “big kids” side at daycare now and doesn’t have to take naps anymore. My baby is growing up!
His latest interests include… “What is hot lava and will it make me dead?”… pterodactyls and t-rex’s, and what it means to become extinct… “Where are our brains?”.. “Mom, my brain is hurting today” (said as I picked him up from preschool today! LOL)… Spiderman and superheroes (he sleeps with a spiderman to scare away the bad guys at night)… he has an imaginary friend named “bad guy” who is his constant companion and friend, who has an ever evolving personality and physical characteristics… Bad Guy has been everything from purple with polka dots, to a baby, to a grown up… What an imagination!!! He wants to be a fireman when he grows up…. he’s scared of weird looking shadows at night and often calls me in to explain what is causing this or that “spooky shadow”… B got him a night light, and I gave him my favorite pillow, and he’s sleeping much better at night now… Awwwwww… He still loves cuddles and kisses, and is one of the most affectionate sweet kids I have ever known… And I’m not biased at all! Ha!
