Had my Interview
December 16, 2007
It was strange. The lady who interviewed me is the owner of the real estate company, and she was SO nervous! I felt quite at ease because I don’t have to get the job… don’t get me wrong, I want the job, I just don’t HAVE to have the job in order to survive. That’s a good position to be in.
She confused me a little because after she found out my current job is part time she started talking about how her husband needs someone part time to help organize his paperwork for his construction company… Uh… I wasn’t interviewing for a part time position, lady… It sounds like I could have a job for Fridays, which would supplement my income nicely and get me about the same place financially. Either way, I’m open.
She told me she doesn’t want to pay the $5000 for the course I would need to become a real estate conveyor either, so I just don’t know. She also said she interviewed another girl too, and is going to call Linda at the employment agency on Monday or Tuesday to give her decision. I’m not holding my breath on this one, cause I just didn’t get that “I want to hire you” vibe that I generally get when an interview goes well.
Either way, please pray that if this job is the right fit for me, that I will be picked. And if it’s not, that I won’t.
Thanks!
Interview

I had an interview with an staffing company today, and they called me back an hour ago to tell me they submitted my resume to a real estate company and they want me to go in for an interview on Sunday. It’s the same pay as I’m making right now, but 10 more hours a week ($480 a month) with benefits. Once I take a real estate course my pay goes up, and I’m qualified to process real estate paperwork. Woo hoo!
Here’s the best part… if I get the job on Sunday, and I give my notice on Monday, I won’t have to go back after the 20th… That would be SUCH a relief!
What would you do if money wasn't an obstacle?

I’ve been thinking a lot about what makes me happy and fulfilled. On Friday I spent a lovely hour of solitude in a used bookstore, and then a luxurious hour of self indulgence, reading a book I purchased while sipping a skim chai latte, no foam.
So… If money wasn’t an obstacle, and I could pick any job in the world, I would open a used bookstore with an organic coffee/tea cafe with lots of yummy organic treats. It would be very eco/green and natural looking… Lots of beautiful Indian fabrics with wood and stone accents and a cool water feature separating the bookstore from the cafe. Ideally it would be in a funky little island house with a gorgeous garden outside that could be used as a reading patio in the warmer weather…
Fun to dream………………
